Born in the Chicagoland area, Kori comes from a musical family and has been heavily influenced by Motown, classic soul, gospel, and jazz. After graduating from the Armed Forces School of Music in Virginia Beach, VA. in 2004, he went on to become the lead male vocalist for Navy Band Southwest as well as the Naval Forces Band Europe and Africa from 2008 to 2012. Kori has performed for millions of people throughout Africa, Europe and the US while serving his country. Currently, he resides in San Diego, CA and performs around the Southern California area, promoting his first original project, the self-produced, San Diego Award-nominated Best R&B/Funk/Soul album, Silver Lining.
