Kogee-R&B/Soul vocalist Kori Gillis (Ko - "G"). Born in the Chicagoland area, Kori comes from a musical family and has been heavily influenced by Motown, classic soul, gospel, and jazz. After graduating from the Armed Forces School of Music in Virginia Beach, VA. in 2004, he went on to become the lead male vocalist for Navy Band Southwest as well as the Naval Forces Band Europe and Africa from 2008 to 2012. Kori has performed for millions of people throughout Africa, Europe and the US while serving his country. Currently, he resides in San Diego, CA and performs around the Southern California area, promoting his first original project, the self-produced, San Diego Award-nominated Best R&B/Funk/Soul album, Silver Lining. Born in Boston, Jon Rogers took up saxophone after falling in love with the music of John Coltrane and Avishai Cohen. Graduating from Berklee College of music, and performing throughout New England and New York, Jon has played with Joe Lovano, Dave Santoro, Hal Crook, Darren Barrett, Victor Mendoza, and The Yellowjackets, among others. Jon currently resides in San Diego, playing at notable venues such as House of Blues and Humphries. Working as a performer, arranger, and recording artist with a variety of groups from San Diego to Palm Springs, his repertoire spans the genres of Latin, Neo Soul, r&b, reggae, Motown, Dixieland, dance and modal jazz, along with experimental and world music. Kenny Beaumont is a guitarist & singer songwriter born and raised in San Diego, California with over 25 years of experience. Kenny's talent focuses on genres such as Reggae, Rock, Blues, Jazz and Brazilian. At the age of 15, Kenny was playing in the blues circuit of southeast San Diego in clubs like The Dolphin Inn, Montford Point, and American Legion playing with blues greats like Willie Jaye, Tom Cat Courtney, June Bug, and Ninne Brown. For the next six years, Kenny played throughout San Diego until the age of 21 when he moved to Brazil. With his Brazilian heritage stemming from his mother's side, Kenny easily adapted to the country's music and culture scene. For the next 10 years studied Brazilian culture, which landed him a spot as the lead vocalist/guitarist for a successful band called "Matutaia". During that time Kenny performed for many audiences while opening for many artists like Gloria Gayner, Barao Vermelho, Kid De Abelha, Dick Dale, and Jorge Ben." In 2006 Kenny returned to San Diego and is now currently living and performing in the San Diego music scene. He brings many exciting styles to the stage that he has learned throughout his life both in San Diego and in Brazil. Kenny plays many favorite artists whom we all recognize and appreciate today as well as original music for a wide range of audiences. Kenny also recently played with BB King’s  drummer Tony Coleman. Eric Mroczek is a bass player based out of San Diego. He has cut his teeth playing the local venues and festivals including The Music Box, Casbah, The Mustache Bash and Same Same But Different. He is currently the bassist of the local funk band The B Sections. Avery Suazo-Greathouse is a born and raised San Diego native. Avery has played and recorded with various ensembles / artists of varied genres from latin jazz, to hip-hop, to alternative metal, and more. As a lifetime student and enthusiast of music, he started his musical journey in 2004 in Spring Valley, CA, and continues to this day. Andrew Acquista is a percussionist and drumset player currently residing in San Diego. Andrew’s percussion background includes intensive training African, Brazilian and Cuban percussion. On drum set he is fluent in funk, rock, reggae, blues, RnB, jazz, calypso/soca, African, Cuban and Brazilian styles and performs in the greater San Diego area. Performs regularly with Master Drummer Dramane Kone with his African percussion company Ballet Djelia Kadi. He is a member and performs with Mark Lamson’s Brazilian music company Sol E Mar. Recorded for the movie “Black Panther” working directly with composer Ludwig Göransson. He performed multiple sold out shows at the LA Forum with the legendary Latin rock group Maná.
