HOT 8 BRASS BAND

The Hot 8 Brass Band is a Grammy-nominated New Orleans-based brass band that combines hip-hop, jazz, and funk with traditional New Orleans brass sounds. The band was formed in 1995 by Bennie Pete, Jerome Jones, and Harry Cook, who merged two earlier bands, the Looney Tunes Brass Band and the High Steppers Brass Band, from Fortier High School. The band members grew up together and have strong family-like bonds.
